  • BASICS. Isabella Madison Halle is a short woman with a small frame, standing at 4'11" and weighing 85 lb. She is 20 years old. She has dark brown, wavy hair and even darker eyes. Her skin is fair and she has a beauty mark underneath one eye.

  • PAST. As a young teenager, Isabella was abducted by the cult of demon worship and tortured so that her soul could be used as a sacrifice to summon a demon. She did not ultimately get sacrificed, and escaped the destruction of the Cathedral with the aid of a fallen angel.
    Taking pity on her, the fallen angel offered Isabella a deal: the angel could erase her memories of the trauma, and therefore cure her of her suffering. However, the rewriting of memories only erases the memories themselves, rather than the effects of the trauma, and Isabella is permanently left with a lingering emptiness she can't quite understand. She feels immense sadness for something she can't remember, a phantom pain that permeates her daily life.
    While she cannot remember the source of her pain (or the majority of her memories from before her angelic encounter), she remembers simply that she was 'saved' by angels, and has since devoted her life to her faith.

  • PRESENT. After a robber stole Isabella's only belongings on her way across the country to return to her hometown, she became stranded in an unknown place with no job and no money. Showing up on the doorstep of a nobleman's mansion one stormy night, she found herself invited into the Trancy manor for what was supposed to be a brief stay.
    The young Earl of the manor, Alois Trancy, generously offered Isabella a job as a servant of the manor until she could make enough money to get back on her feet. Theoretically, anyways. Isabella doesn't see a single note of the money she's supposed to be making, and it seems that the Trancy manor might become her new home for good.

  • TRIVIA:

  • She has the mark of the noble beast branded on her side. She has no idea what it means.

  • Her rosary is the only thing she has from her life before living in the Trancy manor.

  • Her absent/rewritten memory brings her immense distress, and when something reminds her of memories that have been erased, she experiences blinding pain that occasionally is enough to knock her unconscious.
